About Great Lakes Cruises

We fell in love with the Great Lakes. It's that simple.

After taking our first Great Lakes cruise, we knew this was something we wanted to help other people experience for themselves. America’s great inland seas offer thousands of miles of coastline, diverse geographies, and a rich history of how our nations were built. Together, these lakes hold 21% of the world’s freshwater supply. Seemingly endless history fills not just the shorelines of each lake, but the waters too. From dangerous shipwrecks to thundering waterfalls to the world’s best maple syrup, you’ll find it all on the Great Lakes.

Most of all, it’s the incredible, adventurous people you’ll meet along each and every voyage that make it. Cruises on the Great Lakes invite you to explore delightful locales, with residents that are truly proud and excited to show you what makes their home so special.

That passion for the area is what inspired us to help showcase the Great Lakes and North America. We’re so pleased to bring our travel expertise to these waters, having hosted over 15,000 guests over the years. Together, we invite you to experience the majestic wonders of the Great Lakes region.

The Team

Mark Hellmann Regouby

Founder & President

After years of working with one of the top Great Lakes cruise lines, Mark founded GreatLakesCruises.com to help bring notice of these cruises to everyone. Mark led an illustrious career in product development before striking out on his own as a tour operator. Despite having traveled all over the world, he’s passionate about showcasing this specific region of North America for its natural beauty, history, and wealth of experiences.

Susan James

Cruise Expert

As one of our Great Lakes Cruise Experts, Susan brings over 35 years of travel agent experience. She’s shared the world’s best cruises, vacations, and experiences with her clients, showcasing destinations all over the world. Though her favorite Great Lakes destinations are split between the Thousand Islands and Toronto, Susan absolutely loves Italy. If she ever won the lottery, she’d immediately be living on the Amalfi Coast!

Joe Casey

Business & Operations Manager

Joe brings an adventurous spirit and a global business perspective to his role as Business and Operations Manager at GreatLakesCruises.com. Originally from Boston, his background spans economics studies in Pamplona, graduate business work in Madrid, hands-on operations in New York City, and strategic consulting for private equity firms. Now back in Boston, Joe is drawn to the Great Lakes for the same reason he’s always loved great cities on the water — places where industry, history, and exploration meet. Joe’s favorite Great Lakes destination is Chicago, Illinois .

Brayden Bailey

Director of Web & IT

Behind the scenes, Brayden helps shape how travelers experience GreatLakesCruises.com by leading the web and IT systems that bring our journeys, stories, and itineraries to life online. With a background in marketing and a deep appreciation for travel and design, he’s focused on building a digital experience that feels as thoughtful and seamless as the cruises themselves. Living in an urban environment but always drawn to wide-open spaces, his favorite Great Lakes destination is Thunder Bay, Ontario, a vibrant lakeside city set against the massive-scaled beauty of Canadian wilderness.

Rachel Freel

Operations & Sales Coordinator

Rachel brings curiosity, creativity, and a love of discovery to her role as Operations Specialist at GreatLakesCruises.com. Raised in Anderson and a graduate of Lander University, her background in marketing and management naturally led her to work that blends organization with storytelling. Whether she’s creating content or exploring new experiences, Rachel is drawn to the Great Lakes for the same reason she loves adventure: every place has a story. Rachel’s favorite Great Lakes cruise destination is Mackinac Island, Michigan.
