GreatLakesCruises.com is a sales agent for every cruise line that operates on the Great Lakes.
On every ship, Seabourn boasts an almost one-to-one ratio for guests to staff. This means each room features a Personal Suite Steward, who can help you with anything you need, any time. They’ll greet you with champagne and a treat when you first arrive, replenish your in-room bar with drinks to your preferences, or even draw you a bath with designer soaps.
Seabourn is proudly a member of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the world’s oldest and largest food and wine society. A prestigious marking, the organization has been around since 1248, originally founded as a guild for goose roasters. Seabourn, with its focus on creating delicious cuisine paired with vintage wines, is a proud and prominent member of the guild.
Seabourn has partnered with the famous Chef Thomas Keller on 3 of its four restaurants. Keller hails from California’s The French Laundry, a 3-time Michelin Star-awarded restaurant that was number one on TripAdvisor’s best US restaurants of 2020.
You’ll have the opportunity to sample Chef Keller’s culinary prowess with the restaurants and recipes designed by him, specifically for Seabourn. These eateries include The Grill by Thomas Keller, The Colonnade, and The Patio. The Grill mimics the glistening luxury of 50s and 60s exclusive eateries while serving classics with a signature Thomas Keller twist. At The Colonnade, find a buffet of recipes prepared in an open kitchen, with large format dishes and theme nights that harken to Keller’s love of food that brings people together. And, in The Patio, experience classic American dining with Chef Keller’s Napa Burger and Yountwurst, an artisanal hot dog, in a buffet format with indoor and outdoor seating.
Another marvelous collaboration under Seabourn’s belt, the cruise line now offers a holistic wellness program made by Dr. Andrew Weil. The Harvard Medical School graduate doctor is most famous for his contributions to wellness, even being featured as one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential American’s in 1997. With his Seabourn partnership, Weil has created a whole host of treatments, activities, and even shore excursions that focus on his four aspects of well-being: physical, social, environmental and spiritual.
Seabourn was founded with the goal of bringing private yacht life to the masses. It does just that with its fleet of seven ships, all specializing in small ship cruises. Seabourn excels when it comes to its brand of cruising, so much that it was a winner in Conde Nast’s 2021 Top Cruise Lines: Readers’ Choice Awards for the small ship cruising category.
No small feat, Seabourn reached that lofty prize with great service, food, and programs, all featured aboard splendid small ships. Often reserved for top-tier owner’s suites, all of Seabourn’s suites feature ocean (or river) view rooms. Every one of them comes complete with its own living area, with a dining table and sofa. All the rooms also feature five-fixture bathrooms, with two sinks, a toilet, shower, and bathtub, stocked full of designer beauty products. When you need to unwind, enjoy one of those baths or check out your in-room television and unlimited Wi-Fi.
Outside of your room, you’ll find all kinds of thing to get into. Four restaurants serving the finest food and three lounges with premium spirits and wines, featuring their own dances and social events. In addition, you’ll find the aforementioned fitness center and spa, and even a card room. All these inviting spaces are accompanied by a helpful, knowledgeable staff ready to cater to your every need.
By making the decision to not include excursions with the cruise fare, Seabourn Cruises is able to provide a much wider range of choices at each destination. Due to limited capacity for each excursion, we recommend booking these in advance through our Great Lakes Cruises expert, though you are able to select and pay for these while on the cruise ship as well.
