Lambeau Field

With the original seating capacity of 32,500 the Historic Lambeau Field is the oldest operating NFL stadium since it’s opening of 1957.  The home turf of the Green Bay Packers currently has a seating capacity of 81, 000 since the stadium underwent several renovations in 2003, adding an Atrium and converting the stadium into a year-round venue offering retail shops, dining and entertainment.  With the exception of game days, the Lambeau Field Stadium offers daily guided tours that include walking through the teams tunnel and standing in the actual edge of the end zone. You will also encounter many chronicles about the team, interactive exhibits, trophies on display and a replica of Vice Lombardi’s office.

Green Bay Packers Hall Of Fame

Located on the main floor of the Lambeau Field Atrium you will find the Green Bay Packers two level Hall of Fame.  This 15,000 square foot facility has over 100 years of history pertaining to the stadium and the team.  A must see for anyone passionate about NFL football and the Green Bay Packers.

National Railroad Museum

The National Railroad Museum is one of the oldest and largest museums in America devoted to the history and preservation of the locomotive.  Founded in 1956, the museum is home to many historic locomotives including several different types of steam engines.  Main attractions include the  Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4017, which is one of the largest steam locomotives in the world and the Dwight D. Eisenhower locomotive used in Europe during World War II. Among the collection and archives you will find several restored engines, a library, photographs along with an 800 foot tall observation tower allowing visitors to view the river and Green Bay.

Green Bay Botanical Gardens

Tucked away in the middle of a busy commercial area you will come across the beautiful 47 acre Green Bay Botanical Gardens featuring a variety of unique and rare plants.  Open since 1996, you will find this four season garden almost always has something in bloom. Meandering paths take you through themed gardens of Wisconsin Woodlands, native trees, shrubs and wildflowers.  Other gardens represent Color and Foliage along with Perennial and Sensory Gardens including a Lux Foundation Rose Garden and English Cottage Garden.   Other features of the garden include a gazebo, well house, fountain, a well house and a brightly colored children’s garden with a tower overlooking a kid’s maze with a slide, sundial and tree house.

Heritage Hill State Historical Park

Step back in time by visiting Heritage Hill State Park, an outdoor museum consisting of 24 historical and reproduction buildings spanning across a beautiful 56 acre park along the banks of the Fox River.  Historic buildings include log cabins to 19th century shops and public buildings.  Learn the rich heritage of Northeastern Wisconsin and its people by interacting with interpreters dressed in full costume to explore four periods of time from the fur trade days to iron blacksmiths, farming and the churning of butter.

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is the second largest rehabilitation program in the state and the largest park run by the Green Bay, Recreation and Forestry Department. Originally established in 1935 the park was ultimately used for injured water birds.  Today within the 600 acre complex you will find a Nature Education Center with live animal exhibits, a library along numerous hiking trails that enable you to see various wildlife in their own habitat.
