Arrive in Chicago and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy time to relax and explore the city at your leisure. Later this afternoon, join your Viking Tour Director for an after-hours visit to the Art Institute of Chicago, home to the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist art outside the Louvre. Join your fellow guests for dinner at your hotel this evening. (D)

Discover Chicago’s architectural gems during a walking tour and cruise; stroll past well-known buildings, then admire the city’s skyline during a leisurely river cruise as you hear how Chicago grew from a small settlement to a bustling metropolis over the course of a century. This afternoon, visit the historic Frank Lloyd Wright District and see the works of one of America’s most revered architects. Enjoy a selection of hearty fare during an exploration of Chicago’s food scene. (B, L, D)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and enjoy a morning at your leisure. After lunch, you will transfer to your Viking Expedition ship to begin your cruise. (B)
